A fellow teammate had previously utilized this design in a 3rd-grade egg drop competition, successfully withstanding a drop from approximately 13 feet. The base section detaches for easy egg insertion. In another test, the egg survived a 20-foot fall onto grass. However, upon landing on a wooden board, the bottle was dented and there was some yolk leakage. Despite these minor issues, the egg drop contained the majority of the mess.
