Egg Cross
thingiverse
I spent time searching Google for mathematical equations describing an egg's shape and discovered that a point in the middle of a connecting rod traces out an egg-like curve. Following this discovery, I derived my own equation and input it as a parametric curve into SolidWorks software, enjoying the process since math is one of my favorite subjects. As another way to encourage students who diligently complete their Bible memorization assignments, I am offering a new reward. The accompanying photo shows an egg that measures 1 inch in height, which was successfully printed using 3D printing technology. The model's design ensures that it requires only minimal support material at the bottom to prevent sagging while printing, and it features internal angles carefully crafted to eliminate the need for additional support inside.
