92-95 (EG / EJ) Civic accessory button insertWhile I was working on building my gutted 1995 Civic Hatch, I wanted to fill a hole on the dash, and as most 3D Printers do, checked Thingiverse to see if there was an item for that. To my surprise, there was.. kind of. I found the button blank for QB89Dragon, but it lacked 3 things for my application:A blank for where the defrost button should be.A smooth face. The ability to add a switch or button. So I used his model, sliced it in half, mirrored the button face portion, and grafted it onto the insert section. Once I did that, I realized the edges between the button faces were not parallel, so I remodeled the button face, and smoothed out a hump on the top of the button while I was at it. Now the buttons fit perfectly and look great. Only issue I found was the tabs that lock them into place are a bit difficult as a straight overhang. I might just need to lower the temp 5 degrees or so.As originally stated by QB89Dragon, Use ABS or PETG or equivalent to prevent softening/warping at higher temperatures.
