This is an extension piece for the VX520 terminal, as it only accomodates for smaller paper rolls to be placed inside its printer compartment. Placing this at the back of the print roll storage compartment and passing the paper through the small slit at the back/bottom of the printer lid will allow the use of larger printer rolls. It has been designed to sit on flat surfaces, be it at an angle or at 0 degrees, no more than 90 degrees. Without it, the thermal roll will be unsteady and will roll off flat surfaces.
