eFocuser Add-On for the improved Guidescope
thingiverse
This is a focuser + focus motor that includes several remixes of the basic guidescope components, including adapting it for a raspberrypi v1,2 camera. Uses same 28byj48 motor, M3, and M4 bolts as the OpenAstroTracker. uses 2- M6x50 or M6x75 hex head bolts as guides. I made this as an add-on after printing the guidescope. Assembly as an add-on requires clipping the existing bolt tabs from the mid.stl ( could do more easily by combining the parts in CAD before printing the guidescope) Finally assembly is a bit of a challenge due to tolerances, and the need to drive the stepper motors slowly to engage everything. I used an arduino to do this. OpenSCAD files are included for you to remix and improve. Note: they require the import of the original guidescope design stl´s - which will probably be located somewhere else on your machine. I use an arduino nano with ardufocus + 2x ULN2003 + moonliteDRO drivers + to control both this focuser and my main imaging focuser through one connection.
