It features an efficient open fireplace inspired by classic British Victorian designs, fitting into a brick chimney. The enhancements and features include burning coal, wood or man-made fuels, side convection heat pipes for increased heat transfer, rear water pipes for opportunistic water heating, a forward shifted grate for better radiant heat transfer, upward diversion of heat and smoke, and spaces for decorative tiles. Despite the inherent inefficiency of open fires, this design aims to maximize usable heat from burning fuel, surpassing traditional Victorian fireplaces but possibly not matching wood-burning stoves. The Sketchup source file is included for derivatives, with the object measuring around 100mm square and requiring scaling for models or building templates.
