Why throw away plastic printing a huge adapter? When you can simply print the missing measurement. If your vacuum cleaner has a latch, but it doesn't fit because the hose is too small, just print this moon-shaped filler to compensate and let you use the latch. This design fits 49mm male hoses to 55mm female vacuum ports. Note that the female vacuum port actually shrinks from 55mm to 50mm towards its inner part. This slope may not be present on all vacuum cleaners, so depending on your model, you might need to add glue for a proper fit. The hole, or moon crescent gap, allows the existing latch on the hose to work with the female port that would otherwise make an adapter impractical.
