The rifle's model features both rigged and unrigged versions, with the latter divided into individual components for easier animation. The moveable parts include the bolt, bolt handle, trigger, magazine, and magazine follower. The rigged version contains bones for the root, bolt, charging handle, trigger, safety, and magazine. The model's geometry has been triangulated to ensure accurate shading in game engines without any non-quadrilateral (n-gons) or overlapping faces. It is manually unwrapped to optimize UV space. All objects and materials are appropriately named for easy identification. The scale approximates real-world dimensions, and renders have been tested in Marmoset Toolbag 3, Unreal Engine 4, and Unity Engine without requiring any additional plugins. The textures include a 4096x4096 base color, roughness, metalness, normal, and ambient occlusion (AO) maps for the Thompson model, along with 2k or 1k PBR textures for each attachment. Specular/gloss PBR format textures are also available in a separate download for those who prefer that setup. The textures were designed for physically based rendering (PBR) and are in .png format, with model texture paths stripped. Specialized texture maps optimized for Unreal Engine 4 and Unity have been exported and can be found in the extra downloads section, along with instructions on how to use them. Additionally, Substance Painter source files are available in the extra downloads, allowing users to easily modify the textures using that software.
