Eeyore Sun Catcher
thingiverse
I wanted to test if you could print a sun catcher without complicated mechanisms. So here's one of my attempts with Eyore from Winnie the Pooh. The frame functions like the leading in a stained glass window. It must be printed in transparent filament, switching to black at the layer where the lead lines are located. Once finished, the colored pieces are glued into the corresponding gaps in the frame using PVA glue and allowed to set over several days. I used PLA for the filament, but sometimes I had to use PET since I couldn't find a translucent/transparent PLA of the right color. This mostly worked, but sometimes I had to sand the PET pieces down slightly to make them fit perfectly.
