The shaft has been reengineered with increased surface area at each end, addressing a common issue where standard ones often failed during printing due to inadequate bed adhesion. These upgraded shafts require glue to secure them in place since they don't fit tightly. Alternatively, if you prefer a snugger fit, the discs will work perfectly on standard nano bobbin shafts without any modifications needed.
