Edsal Shelf Feet
thingiverse
I've got a bunch of Edsal steel shelving units from the big box home improvement stores. I've set up some as half-height and they're always on the move. Unfortunately, my basement floor is painted, which means lots of scratched-up paint when these shelves get shifted around. With my recent repaint, I came up with these feet to protect it. I also added felt pads to the bottom using hot glue for extra cushioning. Tonight, we had to slide a partially loaded unit to get behind it - and not a single mark on my floor! The OpenSCAD file lets you customize values if you want wider or narrower feet, or if your shelf uprights aren't exactly like mine.
