Edsal Muscle Rack Shelf Top Bracket
thingiverse
This is a top mount bracket designed to add an additional shelf to an Edsal (aka Muscle Rack) storage rack. For my purposes, the shelving unit was split into two parts, leaving one part with uprights sticking up in the air, serving no purpose. So I created this bracket to slide over the end of the upright. I have included the following files: - STL file - Fusion 360 f3d file - STEP file for those not using Fusion 360 Supplies needed: - 1x2 inch lumber - 1/3 inch plywood or similar for the shelf Notes: - Each bracket will use approximately 75g of filament when printed with 1.6 mm walls and 35% infill. - The holes in the bracket are for adding a bolt and hardware, allowing you to tie everything together better if needed. - The angle cut on the 1x2's is 45 degrees. - Supports are necessary for the overhang part on each side of the groove, and make sure to block out supports in the grooves to avoid difficulties. Credit for the original end cap that I based this on goes to jcantalupo: (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2061320). The groove was extended to make the bracket stronger.
