As big as a Pyscryf and a Shrinaar put together and just as vicious, a Psider can put even the most battle-hardened veteran on edge. Their outer carapace features the same kind of nanostructures as the Eyespy, rendering them incredibly difficult to see unaided. Though they may seem slow at first glance, they are capable of incredible speed over short distances. Even with these capabilities taken into account, their ability to appear seemingly out of nowhere demands further explanation. Psiders do seem to have some instinctive connection to the Deep, similar to other Edo bioforms. Their claws and tentacles strike with far more than physical force, and multiple reports mention shots deflecting off of what looks like a force field. Some theorize that the Psiders are capable of teleporting themselves behind enemy lines using some pseudonatural ability that mimics the function of a jump drive, but so far this is unconfirmed.
