Quick Fix for Garmin Nuvi Mount: No More Windshield Blockage! I just created a simple mount that lets me move my Garmin Nuvi from my windshield in seconds. Honestly, I really dislike having my view obstructed by it, and glancing down at the map is no more effort than looking elsewhere. Plus, with five cup holders in front of me - yes, you read that right, five! - in my new Dodge 2500 Pickup truck, I've got plenty of room to enjoy a drink while driving. The lower console has two cup holders and three more are in the seat console. If I actually tried to consume that much liquid, I'd need to stop for refills every few miles. Both mounts were printed without supports and worked flawlessly. Depending on your printer, you might need to add some support to the angled one, but my MakerBot Rep2 didn't require any. The picture shows the unit as is, no cleanup needed.
