The building is the Edifício Benício, a notable example of modern architecture in Ceará, designed by architect Nícia Paes Bormann and Nearco Barroso Guedes de Araújo in 1972 and constructed in 1974. It's located in Fortaleza-CE and faces the risk of being demolished this year (2019). This project is part of the research THE FEMININE ROLE IN MODERN CEARENSE ARCHITECTURE: NÍCIA PAES BORMANN'S CONTRIBUTION by Érica Maria de Barros, a master's student in the Graduate Program in Architecture, Urban Planning and Design at the Federal University of Ceará's Department of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design.
