EDIFICIO PEÑA BLANCA en Alicante. PEÑA BLANCA Building, Alicante

Building created in 1963 by architect Francisco Muñoz Llorens on San Juan Beach (Alicante), Spain, where it covers an area of 3,900 square meters. It shares a boundary with another building nearby, with exterior walls facing the Costablanca Avenue and Carmelo Simón Plá Street. This edifice comprises two towers: one standing at twelve stories tall and the other at thirteen. These structures were designed using an innovative technique involving stacked parallelepipeds positioned alternately for each level. As a result, this creates dynamic movement in the exterior walls of these buildings due to contrasting white façades against blue rooftops of terraces. Francisco Muñoz was intrigued by fusing painting with architecture, which shows his admiration for Le Corbusier: "Throughout our generation, architects are captivated by Le Corbusier's work and often the things that bring us joy end up making an appearance in our creations."
