EdgePro/HapStone Knife Sharpener mash up. For 3/8 and 1/4" rods
thingiverse
I took an already good design and adapted it for Home Depot compatibility. Now it accommodates 3/8 and 1/4 inch rods instead of the original 10mm and 6mm sizes. I modified the guild plate to resemble those found on HopStone sharpeners, making it easier to align the blade with the board while keeping it parallel. Moving the bolt holes from the rear to the front allowed for improved fitting capabilities. Additionally, I created a file that perfectly fits DMT stones, accommodating four 3/8 inch stones with ease. To secure them in place, I applied a small amount of epoxy. The stone holder features a raised ridge, designed to face towards the user when in use. This acts as a stop for the blade, helping to prevent accidental injuries. To assemble the stone holder onto the handle, simply insert it and locate the bolt hole on the handle. Drilling this hole into the stone holder allows the bolt to enter from the back side, securing the stone holder firmly to the handle in both vertical and horizontal directions.
