Edge Pro Scissors Attachment and Knife Guides

This is a scissors sharpening clamp attachment and knife guide designed specifically for the Edge Pro Apex Sharpening system. It enables users to sharpen scissors at angles ranging from approximately 13-45 degrees, effectively covering all required angles for various types of scissors. All individual parts necessary for separate printing are included in separate files for easy access. I highly recommend applying a strip of rubberised tape to the inside of the clamp for an extremely secure grip. For added security and convenience, stick a piece of tape over the magnets after gluing them into place to protect your blades, provide extra grip, and make cleaning the magnet surface effortless. For optimal performance, I recommend using M4 brass threaded melt-in inserts in the 2 holes on the platform side of the clamp and the center hole of the table platform for the knife guide. Additionally, insert one M4 brass threaded melt-in insert into the larger bottom hole of the scissors clamp. Two M4 screws and two M4 thumb screws of desired length are also required. Three Neodymium magnets measuring 12mm x 3mm in size are forcibly inserted into recess holes and secured with a small amount of epoxy glue. If you wish to utilize the Large Blade attachment, six additional Neodymium magnets (also 12mm x 3mm round) will be necessary. To install this attachment, simply remove your original adjustable knife guide from your Edge Pro Apex and replace it with my platform. The clamp part of the scissors attachment can be used as follows: Note - The bottom hole is designed for counter-tightening the clamp as described below. Tighten the top two screws to position your scissor blade in place, then tighten the bottom screw (The bottom screw should only have a brass insert on the inside of the small clamp, so it effectively opens the bottom of the clamp up when you tighten the bottom screw, forcing the top closed in a cantilever fashion on your scissors blade to hold it securely in place for sharpening). Remove the scissors clamp part and replace it with the vertical knife support when needed. 13 October 2020 - I added a Large Blade attachment that can be used to sharpen longer kitchen or other knives.
