Edge First Parabolahedron using Zometool Struts
sketchfab
A parabolahedron emerges as a projection of a flat hexagonal honeycomb grid onto a paraboloid, showcasing its potential for endless creation and extension using standard blue and yellow zometool struts. Symmetrical variants also become possible by incorporating green and yellow struts into the framework with standard zometool components. Furthermore, asymmetrical variations can be developed utilizing numerous standard zometool struts to achieve unique configurations. This model is characterized as an edge-first projection. This particular parabolahedron consists of 242 spheres, 89 blue struts, and 176 yellow struts. The convex hull of this shape is composed of affine hexagonal facets covered by a translucent skin that allows the internal structure to be visible. The development of this model was facilitated using vZome software.
