Edge Cleanup and Chamfer Tool
cults3d
I produce a lot of square enclosures, and my Z height isn't always spot on, so I get some extra flashing around the edges of my prints. This was designed to hold a .75" tall standard razor blade securely in place, keeping fingers safely behind guards. It's meant for trimming and chamfering edges precisely. The flush version trims right up to the corner, while the chamfering version trims about a 1mm wide chamfer at 45º degrees with the blade held at a 60º angle to the edge. It works best on straight edges. Be careful because the blade is still exposed at the tip. As it's set up for now, it's perfect for right-handed pull cuts. If you prefer a push cut (which is safer but less controlled), simply mirror the tool. Take care not to pull the tool into your holding hand or clamp your piece too tightly.
