Eddie Bauer Luggage Handle Repair

My coworker found a nice set of luggage and got it cheap due to a broken handle. Before he went hunting for a replacement he asked me if I could model and print a replacement. We have yet to test the part fully assembled part but the parts fit well and move fairly smoothly partially assembled. I tweaked the OpenSCAD model slightly based on the partial assembly test just to make it a little bit better.

The pictures show the first prototype in white, the original broken part and the latest prototype.

7/13/16 Update The handle is fully assembled and works beautifully. Hopefully someone else with similar issues finds these files!

7/27/17 Update Since I had a couple requests for prints I went ahead and made it customizable. Why not huh? Now add your name to your luggage handle even if it's not broken.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

RepRap

Printer:

Prusa i3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.3mm

Infill:

50%

Notes:

I printed it with 6 perimeters, 5 solid top and 5 solid bottom layers for strength.
