These spacers are used between the two axle bearings to remove slop in the the drive train. Inserted from the inside of the hubs, it move the inner bearing slightly inward. The inner column locate the spacer, but should not touch the outer bearings. The axles still ride on the metal surfaces of the bearings. Heat and durabilty should not be a problem even with PLA. We modified the Amps using the rear hubs on the front to eliminate the shoulder screw issues. The 1.25mm were a little tight but worked. I suspect the 1.0mm should be just right.
