ECU Mount for JB32 (Suzuki Sierra)

This is a mount designed for Suzuki OEM ECU, specifically for a Vitara, Baleno, or Jimny model. It fits snugly to the right of the original steering column using factory holes in a "Coily" Sierra. This part was meticulously crafted and tested for a Suzuki Sierra produced for the Australian market, taking into account the vehicle's unique features. The steering wheel is positioned on the right-hand side of the vehicle, mirroring the [JB32] configuration found in Suzuki Jimny models. While it may work for older model Sierras or left-handed Samurais, further testing would be required to confirm compatibility. Two STL files are provided: one optimized for a heated brass insert and another for a standard nut. Both designs incorporate provisions for a minimum 50mm M3 bolt to reinforce the angled "neck" of the mount. Whether or not you choose to utilize the compression bolt, the hole will still enhance the structural integrity of the neck, making removal unnecessary. This part is engineered with a 0.3mm layer height in mind and printing it at finer resolutions would yield no benefits. Testing conducted on generic PLA (grey) revealed that the mount withstood at least 180N without the tensioning bolt. The final product is printed using ASA (black). The original metal mount served two secondary purposes: grounding the ECU housing and acting as a thermal conduit. Although no filament can match the performance of metal in this regard, it shouldn't pose a significant issue. To compensate for the lack of grounding, I've added grooves to accommodate two 1.4mm wires that will make contact with the mounting bolts, ensuring adequate grounding. The latest design incorporates a hole through the bottom (or roof), allowing easy access to the compression bolt's hole from either side in case post-processing is necessary.
