Lots of different parts are needed to attach the infamous blue tubes to your replica Ectomobile, or a totally custom Ectomobile like mine. You can find me on Facebook at fb.com/EctoWK. To connect the car body to tubing, I used a 2" 90-Degree socket fit elbow. A 2" 45lb magnet is screwed onto the magnet tube plug, and then epoxy is applied to secure the plug into the elbow, leaving only 0.015-0.030" of the magnet face exposed for a clean look. For attaching tubes to roof racks, I used 2" 45-Degree street elbows, which are epoxied into the Rack Mount bottom half. The top and bottom halves clamp your roof rack crossbars from underneath to support the tubes. My Ecto WK has a Rola roof rack with .632" bars on 3.75" centers. I've included Solidworks files so you can easily modify them to fit your individual roof rack. If you need help modifying them, just shoot me a private message and I'll be happy to assist you! To prevent the tubes from lifting in the wind, I designed an anti-lift bracket that clamps the tubes next to each other and attaches to the car body with another 2" 45lb magnet. All screws used are #10-1". I didn't use RV sewer pipes for the blue tubes; instead, I opted for a Kleen-Rite 2" carwash vacuum hose because it's much tougher and thicker. Edit: The magnets I used can be found at Amazon under the product B00IYFNXR0.
