An innovative suggestion that may initially seem odd is to consider a balancing rod after browsing through entries. While effective on its own, this approach could add extra weight and not prevent shaking. This led me to think of an alternative solution using simple electronics similar to those in remotely controlled drones for maintaining camera stability. A gimbal with three BLDCs can keep the tray level while an IMU (Acc + Gyro) measures Euler angles and sends them back to a PID controller. The PID calculates error along each axis, sending signals to the BLDCs to compensate deviations, resulting in no shaking and lighter assembly weight. Off-the-shelf gimbals can be utilized or implemented using Arduino with numerous available source codes online. However, note that the current design cannot be 3D printed. Thank you for your consideration.
