EcoLED Cupboard Light Spacer Mounts

I recently completed installing built-in cupboard units when I stumbled upon EcoLED cupboard lights that would complement them perfectly. However, the soft-close hinges that the lights were designed to attach to did not accommodate these LED light mounts, so I decided to create some basic 10mm spacer mounts to allow the lights to be attached to the cupboard's sides instead. This also gave me the flexibility to position the lights exactly where I needed them, without being restricted to mounting them only at the hinges. I quickly designed a layout in Sketchup using the inner measurements of the light base plates and included a raised section that allows the base to slide and fit snugly into the cut-out. This feature prevents the base from sliding horizontally beyond the end plate towards the cupboard door when it's closed. Additionally, it provides lateral adjustment, enabling you to move the base away from the cupboard door if it's too close. The mount is simple to attach with a single screw. It's worth noting that depending on the distance between the cupboard doors and the light's push switch when they're closed, you may need to add a domed stick-on bumper to the point where the switch touches or adjust your door hinges to pull the door more inward when it's closed. Overall, this solution worked out exceptionally well - I attached them using a single chipboard screw and they function flawlessly. If I were to recreate these spacer mounts in the future, I would probably increase the Z height to around 15mm (instead of 10mm) due to some clearance issues with certain doors when they're opened. However, you'll need to experiment with your specific door/hinge types as each setup is unique.
