Ecobee room sensor wall mount

Ecobee room sensor wall mount

I caught wind that Ecobee gave their smart sensor a complete overhaul, and all I got to see was some pictures of the new model. From what I can tell, the back is now a lot more rounded, which makes me think it probably won't play nice with my current wall mount. I originally used the wall mount thing that came with the sensors, but when I had to take them out to change the batteries, two of them ended up getting stuck in the wall because the screw wouldn't come out easily. That's when I decided to design a new wall mount that lets you remove the sensors without having to use any force. I printed this one at my local library using their printer, but I'm not sure if it would turn out any better than what I ended up with. Edited 2019-11-06: Same STL file, just uploaded some fresh pictures. I picked up an Ender 3 Pro and printed more of these holders for the sensors. I used Cura 4.3 with the default "Super Quality 0.12mm" profile for the Ender 3 printer with supports turned on, and I went with value PLA from 3D Printing Canada. The result was a lot better than what I managed to print at my local library.
