Echo Show 5 to 8 Stand Adapter

This is a small adapter which fits around the tenon on the official Amazon Echo Show 5 stand so that the stand can be used with the Echo 8 Show. The tenon on the Echo Show 8 is bigger than on the 5 so undesirable side to side movement is possible when the 5 stand is attached to the 8. This adapter effectively resizes the tenon on the 5 to fit the 8 thus eliminating the side to side movement. *** Note : The tenon on the stand is tapered, as is the adapter so it only fits correctly the right way up. At the time of writing this, Amazon are selling the Echo 8 stand for £22 and the Echo 5 stand has just been reduced to £4.99. I wasn't willing to pay £22 for a stand, hence my need for this adapter. Tested and working with 1st generation Echo Show 8. The same Echo Show 8 stand fits both 1st and 2nd generation models, so unless the 2nd gen has any tolerance or fit differences then this adapter should probably work with 2 generation models too. I have no info on the 3rd generation model that has just recently been released so can't say if it will fit that version. Leave comment to confirm fot for 2nd and 4rd generation models of Echo Show 8.
