It takes some force to press the top and bottom pieces together. Some gentle taps with a hammer or mallet may be required depending on your 3d printer nozzle size and configuration. This model was designed around a 0.4mm nozzle. A press fit square peg is used to connect the pieces so you can orient the top and base at any variation of 90 degrees to fit your use case.One of the problems often encountered with the Echo Show is that a stack of books/magazines in front of it will obscure the screen, speaker, and most importantly the microphone. Obstructing the microphone will cause problems with detecting and processing voice commands to the point where the device is almost unusable or you have to yell at it. This stand is meant to raise up the Echo Show 5 high enough so that it is not obstructed.*Rubber feet are highly recommended to keep the stand from sliding around.
