Echo Dot with mounting hole

This is a custom Echo holder designed for a v2 Amazon Echo. The original concept, thanks to TinkeringT's ingenious design, has been adapted to accommodate a threaded camera mount, allowing users to attach it to any device that accepts this type of mount. To complete the setup, you'll need to provide a washer and nut on the opposite side. The external ring is specifically designed to fit around the base of the Echo holder. Since the speaker is located at the bottom, the ring plays a crucial role in reflecting sound back to the user, enhancing their overall listening experience. It will press-fit around the base and can be secured with glue if desired. For those interested in replicating this design, I've shared the Tinkercad link: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/56OjreoFcV8 I created this Echo holder to pair perfectly with a gooseneck clamp, which is clipped onto a wheelchair. By doing so, users can enjoy hands-free control over their home automation features (lights, TV control, switches, and more) that might otherwise be challenging to manage. This custom Echo holder was designed specifically for my father who suffers from ALS. It enables him to access various features in his home, listen to audio books, radio, and music, make and receive phone calls, as well as dictate voice and text messages. Any number on their contact list can be called or messaged with ease. We affectionately refer to it as the "Portalexa".
