Echo Dot V3 strange stand
thingiverse
I created this stand for Amazon's Echo Dot V3. The first version, featuring a gold-colored design in the picture, had some thin areas that tended to break even during the printing process. In the second iteration, shown in the multicolor picture, I addressed those critical issues, but there is still room for improvement in certain areas. The print was done exclusively in 0.3 mm layers to avoid using supports altogether. A layer this thick hardens quickly, allowing it to serve as a structural support even in the most demanding points. If you aim to print with thinner layers, you will need to use the support system, or else you risk experiencing structural failure during printing. Once the print is complete, any burrs that form in unsupported areas can be easily removed with a fine-tipped soldering iron. It's a minor process! The Echo Dot fits perfectly into this stand, and the cable is threaded through one of the larger upper holes before exiting through a corresponding hole below. This print turned out well!
