This multi-use Mount/Stand is designed for the Amazon Dot 2, featuring a curved lower section that redirects sound out from under the device, enhancing overall sound quality. Testing with my unit revealed this feature works effectively, although sound improvements are more noticeable when sitting on soft surfaces like fabric-covered tables rather than hard floors. The Alexa Dot fits securely into the top of the stand, enabling versatile mounting options. I intentionally left space at the bottom for small rubber feet and added holes for screw mounting, allowing users to place it on a desk or mount it on a wall as they prefer. One of my units is mounted on a wall near my spa, over 5 feet away, giving me easy control over lighting and music without worrying about water and electricity mixing. Based on available information, the Dot 1.0 has the same lateral dimensions as the Dot 2.0, suggesting this Mount/Stand can be used with both models; although, using it with the Dot 1.0 might result in side spikes not reaching the top of the unit, I see no reason why it wouldn't work.
