Echo Dot Mounting Clip
thingiverse
Forgive the rough-around-the-edges test setup using this cardboard box...I'm still deciding where I'll attach my small collection of Dots. The screw hole is engineered for #6 screws with a head diameter under 7mm and depth under 3mm. If the screw head doesn't fit flush into the hole, the Dot won't snap securely into the clips. To ensure stability, especially when mounting into drywall, I recommend using anchors (mollies). You can simply lay the clips onto the Dot while it's upside-down to determine the ideal mounting pattern and distance. The number of clips you'll need varies from 3 to 6 or more, depending on your specific requirements. Please note that these clips haven't been tested for under-mount scenarios – i.e., when mounted from a horizontal surface. I disclaim any liability for potential damage to your Echo Dot resulting from your use of these clips. Use them at your own risk.
