Echo Dot Bracket
myminifactory
I reside in a small house and discovered that the space occupied by my Echo Dots became an annoyance - primarily because they must be positioned at a reasonable distance from walls, etc. I resolved this issue by designing a simple wall bracket which securely holds the Dot in place on any vertical surface. This design also serves as a convenient cable organizer! The design is straightforward and provides a precise fit for an original Echo Dot (I am unable to comment on later products). The snug fit causes the device to push inward, allowing the USB cable to secure it within the bracket without requiring adhesive. As evident from the photo, mine isn't even screwed into place; I merely employed 3M Command Strips and they're strong enough to keep it in position. Please note that sound quality is compromised! Even with the incorporated air gaps, audio quality becomes somewhat tinny, losing a significant portion of the Dots bass. Since I utilize a Bluetooth speaker with my Dot, this wasn't an issue for me; however, be aware of this if you use your Dot to play music, etc. This object was created in Tinkercad: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/gh7TfKORj2C
