I designed this gadget to house an Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Generation) on my vintage Staples shelf system ("ClosetMaid Shelftrack Elite Bookshelf Kit"). The slots for the shelf measure approximately 18.91 mm x 3.25 mm and are spaced just 6.91 mm apart, so it's possible that this design will work with other shelf systems as well.
