Echo Auto mount for BMW i3
thingiverse
The Echo Auto vent mount seriously restricts airflow through one of the dashboard vents, messing up the thermal sensor and making the heating and cooling system work inefficiently. To create a more stable setup, I came up with a mount that fits right on top of the iDrive display. To keep this new mount from shifting around, you'll need to apply some single or double-sided foam tape - I personally used 3M VHB tape for the job. Additionally, there's a hole in the center of the mount where you can put a small 1cm neodymium magnet to help secure the device firmly in place, although this is purely optional.
