These ingenious modular trees replicate the art of wood turning, without requiring the acquisition of skills and equipment. I was inspired by the exceptional craft of David Reed Smith's eccentric tree project http://www.davidreedsmith.com/articles/eccentrictrees/eccentrictrees.htm. The interchangeable components all fit seamlessly together, allowing you to mix and match as desired. Currently available options include: * Eccentric Tree with integrated topper connection * Eccentric Tree without a topper connection * Spiral Tree with integrated topper connection * Spiral Tree without a topper connection * Flat base plate * Pot-shaped base * Angel / Fairy decorative topper * Star-shaped decorative topper I printed my modular trees using the outstanding Woodfill filament from Colorfabb, sanded them thoroughly, then either painted or gilded them, and finished with a clear lacquer coating.
