Hello Internet! For all you Safetiniks out there: Fusion360 200N Static Stress Report https://drive.google.com/file/d/12HJmyKJZrEjAlGoD3qjE8lSj54IgWQtF/view?usp=sharing This upgrade is designed for my Brompton eBike Friction Drive, but it's suitable for any bike frame with a common front fork mount for caliper brakes. Check out: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3760499 You'll need this essential part: https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Brompton-Reflector-With-Fittings_210485.htm Find the build docs here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Bp1OWOW-BHIptmso75VmstHCjkk27gZrm52MQJ5cX-I/edit?usp=sharing For optimal performance, see the instructions for wrapping SBR around the motor: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1FQdWPTe3nYMLmk8AB0c-IvsF8gwB6K-7bOEx_NRSsPg/edit?usp=sharing New upgrades include: 1) A custom motor mount for Turnigy SK3 Aerodrive 6364 or 6374 190KV Brushless Motor https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-aerodrive-sk3-6364-190kv-brushless-outrunner-motor.html 2) A new outrunner fan mount for the above motor 3) While fasteners remain the same, you'll need an extra bearing 4) Dimension tweaks for the slightly smaller diameter of the SK3 6364 5) 3D printed washers If you're wondering about the difference in performance between 6364 and 6374, the latter can handle higher power. However, if your VESC is current limited (say 20 Amps), there's no noticeable difference. But with a high-capacity battery, you might experience front tyre burn-out. I'm still searching for a better solution than using SBR rubber as contact surface to improve transfer of power from motor to tyre, or something that will last as long as those Schwalbe Marathon tyres. Any suggestions are welcome!
