Easythreed X1 X-axis belt tensioner (PLA)
thingiverse
This is a straightforward X-axis belt tensioner designed specifically for the Easythreed X1 and X2 models. It can even be 3D printed directly onto the easythreed using PLA, which is a major improvement over previous versions that required ABS. Two additional M3 nuts and two M3 bolts measuring between 12 to 20mm are all that's needed. Here's how it works: This component replaces the panel normally holding the X-axis gantry in place against the Z-axis rods. When tightened, the M3 bolts press the X-axis rods, effectively tightening the drive belt. For optimal printing results: This part is designed to be printed with supports using PLA material. Note: Depending on your printer's tolerances, you may find that the z-axis bearings fit slightly loosely. If this is the case, simply wrapping them in a thin layer of painter's tape should solve the issue. This design accommodates higher tolerances to enable printing directly onto the X1 model.
