Easythreed X1 X-axis belt tensioner
thingiverse
Update: A printable version in PLA can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4296030. This is a basic X-axis belt tensioner for the Easythreed X1 and X2. It's even possible to print it on the easythreed itself. Two additional M3 nuts and two M3 bolts, 12 to 20mm in length, are required. Here's how it works: This part replaces the panel that would normally hold the X-axis motor and rods. When tightened, the M3 bolts push the X-axis rods, tightening the drive belt. Print recommendations: -The part is designed to be printed with supports and a 0.2mm layer height. -The holes for the motor gear and screws have a sacrificial layer to improve print quality, so something will need to be poked through the holes to open them. Warning: Do not print in PLA. The stepper motor gets hotter than the glass transition temperature of PLA and causes it to soften (I made this mistake with the first one I printed). If you plan to print this, make sure to do so in ABS!
