EasyFeed Extruder Lever for Cr-10
thingiverse
I always had issues with getting the filament into the extruder motor. It goes smoothly through the lever and gear, but at the other end where it needs to go into the plastic part, it's a huge problem. I often used tweezers to get the filament into the bowden tube, so I decided to design a new lever. I paired it with 2bedom's Extruder Remix, which works well with this lever. It's a push-through extruder, and the bowden tube goes right through all the way. I've uploaded his file as well. Here's the link to his extruder remix: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2670234 To insert filament using this lever, take the filament and put it into the bowden tube. Open the gears with one hand and guide the filament into the lever from the top with the other hand. You're all set. For users of the original filament sensor, first feed the filament through the sensor but don't yet secure it to the printer. Thread the filament in as described above, then secure the sensor to the printer. UPDATE 1: I've uploaded a new version called EasyFeed_ExtruderLever_v1-No-Sensor. There were issues when not using the filament sensor where the filament would jump out of the lever. This new version has an arm to keep the filament in place while not using the filament sensor. Also, there were some extrusion problems that should be fixed now. UPDATE 2: I replaced the previous updated version of EasyFeed because the arm was too unstable. So, I redesigned the arm for more stability.
