Attachment for multimeter leads that enables one-handed or hands-free measurement of components. It's indispensable when you need to rapidly test a resistor – simply drop it on the pads and read – no fumbling with trying to grasp the probe tips and resistor leads between your fingers. Components with parallel leads can be effortlessly poked into the pad. Essentially, a compact container stuffed with conductive fibers (bronze wool, copper wool, brass solder tip cleaner, copper scouring pad, etc) that establishes good contact with both the banana jack and a component resting on it. My photograph displays three attachments with bronze wool and one with a copper scouring pad, all of which function equally well. Instructions: The box prints in two halves that snap together seamlessly. Place the banana jack and bronze wool inside before snapping shut. There are two cross beams designed to assist in holding the wool within the box – the wool should be positioned under them, then some wool pulled up and over them. Try to nestle the wool snugly into the sides so only a minimal amount protrudes (you wouldn't want fibers from two boxes touching). Verify that the wool is making optimal contact with the banana jack (verify its measurement with your meter – it should be nearly zero ohms, or at least as close as your meter will achieve to zero). You might desire to duplicate one box if creating a pair (as seen in my photograph) You can also attach a small screw through the dimple on the bottom for a 1mm x 10-12mm rare earth magnet to prevent it from sliding or for mounting upright.
