A big thanks goes to JetPad for their straightforward, 3D printable spool design! My objective is to create a spool that I can utilize on my extrusion printer (produces plastic filament from raw plastic material). To achieve this, I plan to drill a single hole in the center of the spool, allowing the filament to start winding neatly from the center. As I test the spool with 2KG of PLA and ABS filaments, I'll update it as necessary. My hope is to print different colored spools for each plastic type, ensuring a perfect color match. Kindly share your experience if you build it before I do, as I eagerly await my extrusion bot kit (arriving soon).
