Easy Remove Pet Cage Bowl(small animal)
thingiverse
My daughter-in-law wanted a set of food/water bowls for her sugar glider Jinx that were easy to remove from the cage but secured to the wire grid. The clips on the rear of the holder are spaced and sized to fit her existing cage - the separation fits the vertical spacing of the bars, and the grippers are sized to fit the wire gauge. You can also try resizing it to fit individual needs. I've included a design without the grippers for different cages; simply use craft wire or twist-ties to attach it to the grid, or you could attach it with screws to a wooden cage. My first design was the square one, which holds a greater volume but may be harder to clean. The polygonal one is purely for aesthetics. The tab/slot make it secure so it doesn't end up spilled all over the cage. The small nub on the end of the holder arm doesn't seem to want to print properly on my printer, but it isn't necessary. The bowls don't require any support; the holders are oriented to make it easier to remove support with a minor amount of waste. I suggest printing the water dish in solid mode since I've experienced leakage due to porosity of the structure on some items I've printed in the past - planter pots, for example. I hope these designs are useful for those of us who love and enjoy our furry family members. Please let me know what you think. Enjoy, and remember to keep creating!
