After constructing the model from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2687518, I discovered that the electrical connection to the servo was loose and tricky to attach properly. To resolve this issue, I trimmed the servo lead to an optimal length and inserted a custom-printed female housing for the cable. This modification greatly simplified the process of removing and reinstalling the two cable ends.
