Easy Print PCB Clamp / Vice

Easy Print PCB Clamp / Vice

thingiverse

This is a PCB clamp/vice/helping hand that's extremely easy to print without any supports. You just need to make sure you use at least four shells, and then you can do ten percent infill with no problems whatsoever. There's a ball joint on the cleat so you can loosen it up and tighten while keeping the slots on each end of the clamp perfectly aligned. It's designed for a one-quarter twenty threaded rod and requires tapping a few holes post-printing. I printed it in PLA, and it worked just fine. Just tap slowly, and make sure your chips are being cleared effectively. This was a quick design and experiment, and my very first upload. I wanted to play with ball joint design/printing and tolerancing for tapping. It turned out quite well indeed. Feel free to remix and enjoy!
