Easy print & glue - Sherman V tank (M4A4)
thingiverse
When I started producing vehicles, I frequently felt frustrated about the poor print quality and the tedious cleaning work. So I decided to break down the object into several components. The focus is on achieving high-quality prints and minimizing support structures. After printing, the components must be assembled using glue. Meanwhile, I have printed and built some models using this method. I am publishing the print files for all users who want to achieve quick and good print results. In addition, I would like to thank the original designers of the models. They are crucial to our community. I only split their models into several pieces - nothing else. This time, I worked on the Sherman V tank (M4A4). I took this object, broke it down into several components. The model can be built with either an open or closed hatch. I printed it using my FDM printer at a scale of 1/72. The attached stl-files are scaled to 1/100. Only the turret requires print support. Update 31.03.2018: I added a second turret STL-file. The gun barrel is now separated. All turret parts can be printed without support. Update 12.08.2018: I replaced "1-100 sherman v1 hull devided.stl" with "1-100 sherman v2 hull devided.stl". Version 1 consisted of grouped parts that could cause problems when printing. In version 2, these individual parts have been combined into one part.
