Easy Print 4-Hole Ocarina
thingiverse
This is a print-and-play 4-hole ocarina that hits all the right notes from day one. No need for any pesky supports or rafting - just slice, peel and play. The finished instrument delivers one complete octave with crystal-clear sound that's almost identical to the ones sold in stores: https://youtu.be/DUSAXi_qAq0 Take a peek at my earlier, smaller-scaled ocarinas, each one unique and ready for the building plate: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1035794 (small 5-hole) http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1012353 (large 6-hole) February 24th update - just when you thought things were quiet! This design got ripped off by someone who thinks they're clever, so I've put my name right back on it and tweaked the insides to make it even better: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1198154 You can breathe a sigh of relief - no need for a big celebration - but I am miffed that this person would take credit for something they didn't do. So I deleted my old one and created another one that puts the 'maker' back in MakerEdChallenge! Fast forward to February 15th, 2017 - don't ask why I didn't mention it before! This interactive ocarina tutorial (it has a pretty cool ending!) will help you spot the notes on an instrument with ease: http://www.eenerd.com/JuliusStuff/Ocarina/story.html
