Easy Nozzle Change for Anycubic Mega

Easy Nozzle Change for Anycubic Mega

myminifactory

This frame holds the position of the heatblock of an Anycubic Mega series printer (i3 Mega, Mega S & Mega X) during nozzle change.  This allows the old nozzle to be removed and the new one inserted without having to have one hand holding a spanner behind the printer keeping the heatblock in place. It is designed to be compatible with both the standard Anycubic metal hotend shroud and most aftermarket part cooling ducts (up to 75mm diameter), including when the Anycubic metal shroud has been completely removed.     Assembly and use: The rear clamp holds in place the large spanner included in the Anycubic parts kit; it is secured with M4x15 set screws and nuts.  It is recommended that some insulation material be placed between the handle of the spanner and the printed parts. The toggles are secured with M4 set screws (M4x10 or M4x8) and washers, screwed directly into top of the printed frame.  These are turned outwards while the frame is positioned and then turned in to secure the frame against the lower X-axis rod and the top of the bracket holding the hot end.  Clearance is provided so as to not impede airflow to the fan cooling the hotend heatsink.   © 2020 Eleanor Xanthe Ellis / Cyan Ellis Ltd., some rights reserved.
