Easy-mount Drybox for Prusa Printer Enclosure V2
prusaprinters
This is a remix of the Standalone Drybox for Prusa Printer Enclosure V2. I added a cleat mounting system and a PTFE mount for the filament exit. Parts: Base - the drybox base, with a hole in the back (instead of the slit) and a slot on the front to hook onto the cleat. Lid - the lid, unmodified from the original Cleat - the piece that mounts on the enclosure, that the base hooks onto Knob - the knob, unmodified from the original (Filament) Exit - the insert that goes into the back of the base, for mounting a PTFE tube in The filament exit is build for a 4mm OD tube. The Fusion 360 model (f3d) is parameterized to make that easier to change. The large desicant tray will no longer fit. I found it rather cumbersome, so I use permeable cloth bags (Amazon) instead. Note, when using bags with drawstrings, you must wrap the drawstring up around the opening and tuck it under. Otherwise, the drawstring may get caught up in the spool and bind it. Print instructionsThe cleats must be printed vertically. Printing them in any other orientation would require supports and compromise their strength. I had good results printing the base and the lid at 0.3mm from PLA, with the enclosure doors closed, with no supports. With the doors open (as is recommended for PLA), I had issues with minor warping. With them closed, I had no issues, though the overhangs were slightly worse, and I trimmed off a few loose threads.
